- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer ground beef to the slow cooker.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, onion, and garlic.
- Sprinkle in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Stir well before serving.
Notes
- Top with cheddar cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, or green onions for extra flavor.
- Serve with cornbread, rice, or a fresh side salad.
